What was your latest book discovery? What are your favorite books of all time?

A book I discovered by accident - Agnes Martin by Henry Martin. I left a book on the plane on the way to Miami last year and after a couple of days of having nothing to read I couldn't take it any more I had to get another book. The joy of going into an independent book shop is the staff and Books & Books in South Beach has amazing staff, they recommended the Agnes Martin book. It's amazing book, so fascinating.
I've recently finished The Confessions of Frannie Langton - again recommend by someone in a book shop and again I left it on a plane, it's so good I had to buy a new copy as I had to finish it.
My favourite book of all time - The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle - a classic personal development book, being in the now is always a goal.

What records would you recommend to hear?

I listen to audio books more than music but I would recommend Lizzo and her latest album is great. I'd also recommend getting into UK Jazz - the scene is pretty cool right now, lots of amazing music. The Ezra Collective and Blue Lab Beats to name a couple.

Fresh movie finds? What films do you think everybody should watch?

Anything by Pedro Almodovar - intense films, with strong female characters. Legally Blonde - I've seen this so many times, I love everything about it. Breakfast at Tiffany's - Audrey Hepburn is a dream and this whole film is a classic (apart from the dodgy characterisation of a Japanese person which is just wrong). An American in Paris - I love musicals from the 1950's with crazy dance routines and this is one of the best and it's set in Paris and what's not to love about that. Another great musical is Funny Face again with Audrey Hepburn and also set in Paris. I love Paris so these films make me happy.
